the structure of ball valves
Ball Valves can be defined as valves that have a spherical disc, which is the
element of the valve which exercises control over the flow through it. The
sphere features a hole, or port, through the middle of it, meaning that when the
port is aligned with both ends of the valve, flow occurs. Conversely, the flow
is blocked whenever the hole is perpendicular to the ends of the valve as a
result of the valve being closed.
Ball Valves are renowned for their
durability, and are customarily used to achieve perfect shutoff even in the
event of years of disuse. This makes them a superb choice for shutoff
applications, a purpose for which they are often known as gate valves or Globe Valves.
