Yibeng Valve Lined Ball Valve Corrosion Resistance Temperature Parameters and Lining Thickness Table

2026-04-13

When selecting a lined ball valve for corrosive media, two things matter most: temperature resistance and lining thickness. Yibeng Valve offers a reliable range of fluoropolymer lined ball valves that balance chemical resistance with mechanical strength. Understanding their temperature parameters and lining thickness data helps engineers make the right choice for acid, alkali, and solvent applications. The main Ball valve product names of China Ball valve Network include:High Pressure Butt Welded Ball Valve,High Pressure Three-section Ball Valve,High Temperature Integrated Ball Valve,Insulation Pneumatic Cut Off Ball Valve,Internal And External Teeth Brass Ball Valve (Butterfly Handle Type) Ball Valve Products

For PTFE lined ball valves, the standard operating temperature range is -29°C to 180°C. Short-term excursions up to 200°C are acceptable but not recommended for continuous service. PFA lined valves handle slightly higher temperatures, reaching up to 200°C continuously and 230°C intermittently. FEP lined versions cover the same range as PTFE but offer better flow characteristics. Below -20°C, fluoropolymers become brittle, so low-temperature applications require special attention.Ball Valve Technology

Now let's talk about lining thickness. For a DN25 to DN50 valve, the standard PTFE lining thickness is 3 to 4 millimeters. DN65 to DN150 calls for 4 to 5 millimeters. DN200 and above requires 5 to 6 millimeters. Thicker linings provide better corrosion protection but reduce the valve's flow area slightly. Yibeng Valve follows these thickness standards to ensure both durability and proper sealing against the ball surface.

The corrosion resistance of fluoropolymers is excellent across almost all chemicals. PTFE, PFA, and FEP resist strong acids like sulfuric, hydrochloric, and nitric acid. They also handle caustic soda, organic solvents, and chlorine compounds. The only exceptions are molten alkali metals, fluorine gas, and a few highly reactive fluorinating agents at high temperatures. For most chemical plants, these lined ball valves cover 95 percent of corrosive services.

When ordering from Yibeng Valve, always provide your maximum and minimum operating temperatures along with the media composition. This allows the factory to select the right fluoropolymer grade and confirm that the standard lining thickness suits your pressure and vacuum conditions. For vacuum service above DN150, thicker linings or special reinforcement may be required to prevent liner collapse.

In summary, Yibeng Valve's lined ball valves offer a temperature range of -29°C to 200°C depending on the fluoropolymer type, with lining thicknesses from 3 to 6 millimeters based on valve size. This combination delivers reliable corrosion protection for most chemical and pharmaceutical applications. Always consult the official temperature and thickness table for your specific model before installation.
