filter refit
1st of , many thanks to King Tutt who has been harrased by myself with
zillions of emails and has patiently helped build my understanding .
I would ask if you could look over my pretty basic diagramm and advise
as to what and where I have missed of or forgot or just dont have in
there.
Pond is 7000 uk gallons, 2 x 4"BD's , liner built and been running for a few years.
Equiptment I have already and got really really cheaply and so I have
built it around what I could get, due to the cost saving, hence the 2 x
4" ball valves on the BD's.
All pipe in is 4" , all pipe after the sieves is 2".
I like the idea of a manifold ( I have opted for 2", but am wondering if
I should go bigger ) as this gives me an option to isolate the
skimmers and pull nearly 7000gph with the 2 pumps through the BD,s and
so purge the lines, the other reason is I do not understand the idea of a
clean out line and how it works , or more so how to implement it in the
design.
I also have 2 x 1 1/2" in and out uv's but am unsure where to put them in the diagram.
I have 1 x gpr,or tpr coming from the bead filter , the reason for this
is I do not want to put a load of pipe in my pond as tprs, or start
having to dig all around the outside of the pond to implement tpr,s . It
is something I will have to live with, I will how ever put 1 x tpr
straight from the bead filter into and through the pond wall and connect
it with a dream pond tpr , I have 4 of these ( steve birdman got me
these last year ) . I suppose I am happy with just 1 as I believe trying
to seal a pond liner after a year of having water in it might cause a
problem ?
The nexus 200 I have up and running from the BD,s at the moment and all
looks good, this will carry on being above my pond and supply the
waterfall , but not be used in winter .( saving elec cost and not
freezing the water ).
The bead will run the 1 x tpr all year.
